In order to produce 35,000 tons of zinc ingots per year,Zanjan zinc khalesSazan Industries Co. needed a reliable and stable electricity supply. For this purpose, on 11/15/2013, it started to build a power plant hall (with an area of about 2000 square meters) and by purchasing 8 power generators. Wartsila from France has been able to supply 21.08 megawatts of energy.

It should be mentioned that all construction, installation and commissioning operations were completed within 75 days, which is unprecedented at the national level and is considered a record. Also, in line with the development of the power generation sector, this power plant operated its second phase in 2018 with the installation and operation of three gascor engine generators with a total capacity of 3.6 megawatts.

The power plant development plan to increase the company’s production started from February of 2021, and for this purpose, the power plant development was carried out in the self-supply phase, and on 2022-11-22, a nominal capacity of 3.6 megawatts was launched from this phase.

It should be noted that the necessary arrangements for the development of this phase to a capacity of 8.4 megawatts have been considered.
